Post Style Sheet Consolidation
I checked for upgrades the other day with live update, and got the latest version: 5.2.3.1

However, when I went to merge all the CSS sheets in a project today, it asked me to download the plugin. Did... But, after I restarted there was NO STYLE SHEET CONSOLIDATION, just another warning it was not installed, and another, and another......

Nice Utility, thanks, it saves some time.

I hope you can make it work again in the latest version.

Thanks,

RDB

I am running 5.3.5 (pre release) and I tested. No problem at all. The plug-in downloaded, installed and executed when I restarted QS.
I am running XP. Are you XP or Vista? :?

Post Re: Style Sheet Consolidation
I am experiencing the same problem as rbartz. I am running under Windows XP Professional SP2. I am using version 5.3.1.3 developer edition. MDAC 2.8

I experienced this problem when I first installed, and every upgrade since with the same results - the plugin just doesn't work. I try to use the plugin from the plugin menu, am told it is not installed, directs me to the download page. I download and install the plugin. Start dbQwiksite, try to use the plugin, am told the plugin is not installed ... into infinity.

I am obviously not the only one that has this problem.

Are there special installations instructions or is there a parameter somewhere that needs to be tweaked?

Please help!
Ray

I had the same problem.
But it was fixed when i uninstall and delete dbqwik folders and registry entries, then install from scratch.

Thanks zzoff.
I was reluctant to take your advice because of all my custom schemes, forms, snippets, etc.
I did a little investigating, and this is what I came up with:
  • I opened the following file in Wordpad: C:\Program Files\dbQwikSite\Integration\core\utils\QS_CSS_Merger.plug
  • I deleted the following section towards the bottom:
    Code:
        <step type="question">
               <messagetype>information</messagetype>
               <prompt>'dbQwik CSS File Merger' plugin is not installed on your computer.\crlf\dbQwikSite will open the download page in your web browser now.</prompt>
           <button type='Ok' />
           <button type='Cancel' action='cancel' />
             </step>
  • I replaced the URL in the next section with the physical path to the CSS merger application so it looks like this:
    Code:
             <step type="cmdline">
                <cmd>C:\Program Files\dbQwikSite\Integration\core\utils\QS_CSS_Merger.exe</cmd>
             </step>
  • Finally, towards the top of the file, I changed the <name> value from QS_CSS_CONSOLIDATION to QS_CSS_Merger
  • I saved the file.
Now, it works beautifully.
